DC-based architecture firm GrizForm Design Architects put the vision and essential design approach from the concept developers to together to make Farmers Fishers Bakers an original and creative restaurant space that seamlessly combines form, function, and creativity.
The restaurant consists of several “micro-climates,” each with distinct spacial configuration and other elements to evoke a different experience in each. From cozy nautical-themed booth seating and outdoor tables on our year round patio, to the semi-private Baker’s Table and the exclusive Sushi Bar seating, every table offers the best seat in the house with something interesting to view.
In keeping with a strong and deep commitment to sustainability, Farmers Fishers Bakers is designed to meet LEED certifications and incorporates many reclaimed and recycled materials into the design, including vintage brass boat propellers, used tire treads, and salvaged barn woods.
Handcrafted commissioned artworks from local and regional artists are another key component of the design to add visual layers. Hand-whittled farm animals, miniature farm scene dioramas, porcelain chicken feet, and countless other playful artistic details are sprinkled throughout the space, waiting to be discovered by curious guests.
