VW Fowlkes received his architectural degree from Harvard's Graduate School of Design. His academic research focused on an alternative American suburbia. Before founding Fowlkes Studio, he worked at architecture firms, large and small, in New York, Los Angeles, Boston and DC. He has taught architecture at Catholic University, Boston Architectural College and Harvard's Career Discovery program and is LEED accredited.
